| The good news: Autocrossing in the Z freaking kicks ass. :) Went to the Motorsport event, and had a HELLA GOOD TIME. Motorsport and the SCCA guys put on a FANTASTIC event. I hella recommend it to everyone. The bad news: 7k rpms and corners=spun a rod bearing+other noises. :( I knew going into the event, that I had a slight noise of the motor.... Well...that noise is no longer a slight noise...it is now a pounding rod it sounds like. On the way home, I lost all oil pressure and just turned the car off. The ugly news:
The motor has to come out. :( This means no ZCON/Texas trip for me. :( My vacation just got canceled w/ the tow truck trip home. I am not sure exactly what caused what to fail, but w/o a doubt the motor has to come out. I *think* my oil pump failed this afternoon. Not sure if the rod spit out enough crap to fail the oil pump, or the pump failed then caused the rod bearings to fail. But either way, I have HUGE noise in the motor, and no oil pressure. :( This means Z=uber broke=no ZCON for me. :( So, everyone that wants to call me a cali bitch for not making, just paypal me the cash and I will be there. :) Chris.
